Vittorio Alfieri native city, is famous all over the world for its wine production in the wonderful land of Monferrato. During the year there are many wine festival and oenogastronomicals events, but the city is also interesting for its historical and artistic testimonies. The most important events are the “Palio di Asti” ( the third Sunday of September), “Festival delle Sagre” ( the first Sunday of September) and the “Douja d’Or”.
Asti’s hills are also famous for the good and precious white truffle.
